If we don't have the discipline, what is our art worth?

I admire anyone with the persistence and discipline to practice their art every day. To hold themselves accountable to it, to the point where it becomes habitual, or even second nature. As much as I am a person who enjoys routines, I have difficulty sometimes even just keeping up with my flossing. One of my goals for the new year was to become more habitual: more devoted DAILY to what I do and to practice some element of my art Every. Single. Day. I'm not there yet, but I'm trying…

Two people I'm admiring lately regarding this concept:

Jonathan Keller: This guy has taken a photo of himself, EVERY DAY for going on almost 10 years. Watch the rather poetic time lapse montage of 6 years worth of his project here.
