Metalsmith Magazine

My Bubblegum POP Neckpiece appears in the current issue of Metalsmith Magazine accompanying Bruce Metcalf's article "Craft's New Borderland" on page 37. The layout and design looks great and to be included in Metalsmith (twice in the last four months?!) is an incredible honor.

If you get a chance to check it out in person, please do! In this issue there's also a studio visit/feature with Shana Kroiz - whose work appears on the cover (MICA represent) and an interesting article about copycat-ism by Harriete Estel Berman… definitely worth picking up!

Congratulations! I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive, and now I'm even more impatient than before.

Congratulations! That is a mag I would love to read, but alas for some reason they cahrge too much for international shipping. :(

Thanks for the comment on your blog about my Opinion piece on "Copycat, Copyright or Coincidence" in Metalsmith Magazine .

I am also continuing the conversation on my blog.

Yesterday, Thursday Feb 4, was the first post, next week the posts will continue with ideas about how artists and makers can prevent copycats of their work and example Cease and Desist letters.

I truly hope that if people have experiences or ideas that they want to share, that they will leave a comment.

Vicky - can you buy them in specialty magazine/book stores in New Zealand or is it subscription service only?

margaux,
finally picked up this beautiful baby at SAC boston.... i've just been obscenely busy. it is so lovely - i am really thrilled to be so priveleged as to take care of it. very lightweight and comfortable as well, and not too tight at the neck at all - easy to wear. i really feel i get a great deal - even tho it was a tight squeeze for me to afford i know i got a bargain. i think it is one of your best pieces. other pieces i would covet would be the mounds, and a ken/barbie torso with the upside down heart... boy i would like to see that one with the bulbous parts of the heart hanging down lower below the torso proper ; )
