Nail Art

(no, not the kind you find in your nearest strip mall) A friend sent this series of images to me recently, and wow! was I blown away. Unfortunately I was not able to locate the artist's name, my apologies for that. Just had to share…







This is a cool photo because you can really get a sense of how he's creating depth with the nails and determining how deep each and every one gets hammered.

I love the way the metal ends up shimmering and catching the light in various ways.

wow, this is so cool! I am teaching 3-D design next semester (Scary!!) and really want to design a project around this idea!

Wow - thanks so much for sharing this! Reminds me of those pin impression box things (what the heck were those called?) that my sisters and I would put our hands and faces on. What a totally ocd way to make art - love it!
