Some new press to make me smile!

(cover)

The Italian Marie Claire special issue arrived and my work is featured on page 84!

Also MIA, another Italian women's magazine has featured my work on page 76…

And again, if anyone out there can read Italian, let me know! I'd love to know what it actually says.

italian marie claire is a BIG deal!

i hope that chunk of sucess makes up for the bullshit drama and lameos at the craft fair. your work is amazing.

i am going to go out on a limb and state that many of the women who go to these indie craft shows are often part of the antibarbie movement. they can be a bit too narrowminded and feminist to understand your embrace of Barbie as a vehicle to convey your message.

barbie is a complicated figure in female history and not everyone can get behind adult women embracing her in a healthy way.

An italian etsy customer of mine was sweet enough to do a little translating of the MIA article for me…
Thanks Francesca!

"Margaux Lange: pop re-inventions
Put a Barbie on your neck. Or your wrist. This is the philosophy of the Brooklyn-based designer Margaux Lange who makes the icon of games become the center of her career. She picked up various types of Barbie from public sales, (used objects) markets and old attics, and she re-assembled them in handcrafted jewels to wear proudly."
