Blue eye-shadow…

These are my all-time FAVORITE pair of eye earrings that I've made to date:

It's not often I find eyes this cool with such great make-up. And the color combo with the red I think works really well. The person these were custom made for waited FAR too long, but hopefully she feels they were worth the wait.

I love you Skidboot

OK, I know this is random, but this literally had me in tears (little sensitive today or what?) If you have 9 minutes, watch this.

when it rains blogger posts, it pours

500 Necklaces, published by Lark Books and juried by Marjorie Schick, is out and available online or at your local bookstore. This book is truly beautiful and inspirational. It's an honor to be included. My work appears on pages 140 and 359.

New work!

I've taken on another gallery, this time in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a place called 3rd Ward Jewelry. Here are some of the exciting new pieces sent to them… including my first ever attempt at introducing 14k gold into one of my designs! (the brooch with the red epoxy resin) It's hard to tell from the pic, but there are small "polka dots" of 14k within the resin, as well as on the outside detailing and the ring on the hand. I'm very pleased with how it came out, and you can expect to see more gold in the near future.

The Candy Thief…

I WILL own one of these fabulous neck wraps soon, soon, soon! The woman who makes them is a very talented friend of mine. You should check out all her creations here: The Candy Thief

Ken

This was the custom brooch I created for a wonderful client of mine in Arkansas. He requested a "sex part" brooch, and this is the design I came up with. One of my more risqué pieces to date!

I'm in the middle of the holiday push and am trying to get as many pieces fabricated as possible to disperse among my galleries. I've taken on yet another gallery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this month and am in the midst of creating their first grouping of work.

This is always a busy time of year but somehow I've managed to have quite a bit of fun lately… Avenue Q on broadway, Regina Spektor in concert, attending an art opening featuring work by Chris Piazza, camping with my sweetheart, apple picking, and visiting family. Life is good. Now I just need to knock off a few more things on my perpetual to-do list…
